I am 38 yrs old. I had a total hysterectomy 1 1/2 years ago. I take hormones every day. Also, I take 150 mg Effexor for mild depression, and I take 1 mg clonazepam everyday for anxiety. I used to have a great sex drive/life. Now, nothing. I've only been taking Effexor for about 7 weeks, and I do not like it. It does not help me feel better. I told my dr. I didn't think it was helping me 2 weeks ago, and she said, try it one more month. Well, I already know, it's not for me. You can just tell, ya know? I took Lexapro and loved it, but felt I was gaining too much weight and retaining fluid, that's why I switched. Anyway, all these meds, the hysterectomy, I don't know, but I do not desire sex anymore. I have only had one orgasm since the surgery. I can't live like this, it's not fair to my husband either. What can I do? I want to quit the effexor, but have read so many things about withdrawals. What do I do? Also, I've tried 2 different kinds of hormones to try to find the right one. I am really depressed over this. Please give me advice if you know anything about this kind of thing..... thanks!
