anyone interleuken-6 route ?

Suposidly there is evidence of the immune system involved in depression. Some interlukens are more potent activators of the hypothalamus than cortisol.

This seems to greatly apply to me. Stressful situations *always* correspond to suicidal depression for me. And guess what happens when the stress is over. I get a terrible and dabilitating cold which lasts about two weeks. This is like by system refresing itself. After I recover, I feel much better.

Perhaps its the immune system activation during stressful times that causes the depression. High doeses of vitamin E are supposed to cut interleukin-6 and others in half. Antidepressants and St. John's wort also do this.

I've started on a high dose vitamin E schedule. Will let you know of any effects.
