If I was going to start taking an AP, I would first try Abilify. Abilify is supposed to have a very mild side effect profile. I take Geodon which is also a good med but it has a higher probability of causing EPS. Neither of these two meds cause weight gain--all the other atypicals do, to some extent. I hope you have insurance, because these are expensive meds. Good luck.
