Hi There
Thanks to all the people out there who take the time and try to help those who are in need of it and seem to have no where else to turn.I have been taking Effexor XR 150mg for a good year now and have found pretty good success with it. Other than the odd leg jerking that happens. I was on This several years ago (for 1 year)and went off it when i felt better. It's not easy to get off of, but i titrated down slowly so it minimized the withdrawls. After 4 months of being off it, I suffered my second Major Depression. (man......you'd think the second one would be easier?) I was put back on Effexor getting up to 225mg. Being on that dose for a few months, i felt I was on my way to recovery again and talked to my Dr. about going down to 150mg because my anxiety was VERY bad. He said he'd rather me go on a higher dose but then agreed I could try 150mg. Now at this dose, I still get extreme Anxiety (it only goes away when I'm busy doing something else) I was on 75mg and was able to cope with my depression and slight anxiety with my first episode of depression (and I know that I can NEVER go off of antidepressants) I'm afraid if I go down to the 75mg dose which was good before and made me feel good enough to go off of them, that maybe i will slip back into a depression. I think my Life would be great if I could get rid of the anxiety that is really there for no reason. I'm not sure if taking another med will help with it too. My Phyciatrist is a jerk and has more mental health problems than i do. Where I live, i can't get another on for months!
anyone else with similar side effects?
