Buspar works well for me too, but does not directly help the physical and mental shakiness of withdrawing from Klonopin or other benzodiazepines. BTW, the mfgr. recommends tapering off the benzo BEFORE starting Buspar - I had a bad experience overlapping them years ago - I became really agressive and angry and uncomfortable. I believe I was taking up to 6mg/day Ativan at that time. More recently, though, I haven't felt a problem with Valium 10mg and Buspar 20-30 mg/day.
After reading a recent post, I have started taking niacinamide (500 mg 3-6/day), while tapering Valium and Robaxin (muscle relaxant), with considerable benefit.

> I hear you and understand what you are saying, however, first I have been on much HIGHER doses of Klonoping and still NOTHING no help, no changes whatsoever and second, more important, I have been on it long enough that I want OUT. With all due respect, I've had it with this one. It is NOT a med for this particular person! I do well it turns out on BUSPAR for anxiety. I also probably will wind up having my Depakote level increased by pdoc. But NO MORE KLONOPIN, although I do indeed understand and appreciate your post here! Thanks.
