I've always had very negative experiences with suggesting medications to pdocs. Their attitude immediately seems to change to: "Well if you're so damned smart, go cure yourself!" I had horrible akathisia and parkinson-like tremor from Lexapro. I called and left a message on the doc's machine telling him that I was extremely sick. I suggested Mirapex. I never heard back from him. Of course there are myriad reasons why he might not have returned my call, but my paranoid mind thinks it was because I was becoming proactive in my treatment. Docs seem to hate that.

I asked if I could try Mirapex, his reply "no you don't want that stuff". Actually, doc, I DO! His only advice was "make sure you take your meds in the morning, and I'll see you in a couple of weeks". Thanks a lot, doc.
