Hi
I am currently on Celexa (10 mg in the evening) and I just started taking Wellbutrin in the morning. I have been very happy with Celexa, but my endocrinologist put me on Wellbutrin because I am having a very difficult time taking off the 20 pounds which I gained on Paxil. Arghh!!I am thinking of going off the Wellbutrin, mainly because it doesn't seem to be doing anything so why take medication that I don't have to take?
I was put on Lexapro several months ago and went off of it - I don't remember the exact reason except that I hated it and it made me feel spacey.
So far, Celexa has been the most tolerable AD for me. I am taking the minimum I need to take, which is 10 mg, to keep me from having the crying jags that I was having at work-(not a good thing). I am not having many deleterious side effects from Celexa (no weight gain) except that it makes me a little sleepy, ergo I take it in the evening.
Anyway, that is my experience. You may react differently. I know my endocrinologist was suprised that Wellbutrin didn't energize me. If anything, it made me a little sleepy.
Good luck and God Bless.=========
> Next month I'm goign to a psychiatrist and I'm positive I'm going to be put on medicine. I've been on most of them before and usually had really bad side effects. Of the common ones Welbutrin, Celexa, and Lexapro are the only ones I haven't tried. I'm considering asking if I'm being put on one to have it be lexapro because I've read Welbutrin can make anxiety and Celexa can cause a side effect that I had from another medicine, which I'm almost sure will happen again. Has anyone taken any of these and feel like sharing their experience with them?
