well I find that the more i build up the lamictal the more i have definitely been losing weight. But 5 weeks may not be llong enough to feel any effects, mood or otherwise. Ive been building it up very gradually since @ jan 1.
about 3-4 weeks ago i had a severe mood dip accompanied by intense carbo/sugar/desserts cravings and some very fast weight gain.
but then i started feeling much more stable and currently my appetite is definitely low and i have definitely lost weight. so i definitely keep it up but with Lamictal its important to be steady but slow. > > I know that supposedly weight gain is not a side effect of Lamictal, but I've been taking it for almost 5 weeks and I feel like during that time I've been steadily gaining weight. My diet isn't really different than ever, so it seems like it could be the Lamictal. Has anyone gained weight from Lamictal?
