I did a short trial (2 weeks) of Keppra as an add-on to my Depakote (but stopped Effexor), and I slept marvelously on the stuff, but I seemed to get more depressed and anxious. Well.. I asked my pdoc for some more Keppra (staying ON the Effexor), and I've slept great the last two nights. WOW-six-seven hours! I'm taking 250mg of Keppra twice daily. I get a little listless in the day from it-but I can sit really still on the stuff. I don't know if it would poop-out like the N. did for the insomnia or not. I was taking larger doses of clonazepam to fight the insomnia and it wasn't as effective for it like it used to be. You are trying to sleep while it is hot-if you have windows open you are probably getting noise, too. See if you can at least get a window unit where you sleep-something--if I had to put up with sleeping in 90 degree temperatures I would be a VERY unhappy camper...
