Re: Prozac (or other SSRI) in combo with Buspar

In reply to Prozac (or other SSRI) in combo with Buspar, posted by Linda from Sweden on June 28, 2003, at 7:44:30

Hi Linda from Sweden:

I am on Zoloft/sertraline at 75mgs a day and Buspar at 10 mgs a day. There was no weight gain and the combo actually increased the effects of the SSRI without causing agitation. I never experienced any sexual probs on sertraline, but the Buspar is supposed to help some in this regard.

This combo, Buspar + SSRI is excellent if SSRIs alone make you jittery or nauseous. It does take a month for Buspar to reach its full effect, but I have had a really good experience with it for my severe anxiety/panic disorder with mild depression.

Best,
jflange
