I've started to notice sometimes If I am in a conversation that starts to get heated, I just get really angry and actually feel like throwing something or breaking something, but I don't because I realise it would be pointless, but it still feels like I am easily becoming angrier than usual.

Hi.

Linkadge might be right. I don't have enough of a "feel" for Remeron to be able to comment on his input. However, there is another possibility. I have noticed over the years that as I emerge out of depression, one of the first things that happens is a return of emotions like anger. I am to a degree irritable. My depression is so bad otherwise as to totally blunt my affect. I am too depressed to be angry - or bored for that matter. When I feel myself getting board, I know I'm getting better! Controlling the emerging anger that had been previously blunted might be difficult in the beginning, but you will learn to control it as you gain more experience with it. However, the initial period of irritability due to a treatment success will pass.

I am not sure that this applies to you, but it is a possibility. I hope that it does apply. Otherwise, it might simply be a side effect that will more than likely pass soon.

One more possibility I just thought of: If you are bipolar and experience mania, Remeron might have triggered a mixed-state hypomania.
