Umm...I have never done this, but "Googled" Effexor cause I think it makes me MORE depressed. But I don't take it "correctly" either. I take a tiny bit, like a fifth of a tab, and get pretty immediate headache and an odd sense of swollen and vaguely prickly tongue. I take it for a week or two, sometimes only every other day, and get better, but then seem to get worse and notice the appetite really kicking in so I quit again. I know...it's not supposed to work for a few weeks, but my experience just tells me otherwise and confuses me. I am drug phobic, or I would try it by the book.
