My response to you all my good friends....

Posted by ace on July 28, 2003, at 22:56:04

Hi guys Ace (Andrew) again- I have got most of your responses printed out in front off me, so I will respond to you all and let you know where I'm at. Also, I have some queries....please, please feel free to respond.

Today it is Tuesday. After taking my Nardil dose yesterday I fell asleep for two hours...woke up feeling a lot better...could study and focus...felt almost the usual 90mg Nardil feel. Today I woke up feeling just OK...as the day progressed (it is now 1.30pm) i have felt somewhat more depressed, lacking motivation, anhedonia etc...

When Nardil was working pre-Anafranil attempt, this NEVER happened- It took 6 weeks to kick in and stayed that way for good- every day for 5 months was 95-100% happiness. Of course my phobic anxiety and OCD needed more help, but its effects on depression were stunning. C'mon, you guys know the Nardil- Ace posts!

Could this really be Zyprexa withdrawal as Lawrence suggested? If it is of course I'll continue with the Nardil. But who knows for sure? 3 weeks into the Zyprexa treatment the depression came, attributing this TO ZYPREXA I ceased it. Having a 30 hour (on average) half-life the Zyprexa should have been almost out of my system yesterday and out of my system today.
Any ideas. I am in a rut now- do I take my Nardil or do the 7 day washout for Parnate??

Scotty, thanks for the words bro. So you don't think its Zyprexa w/drawal. Just remember at 2.5 for 3 days the Nardil kicked in. It actually kicked in around 1 hour after a Xanax- and it stayed that way for 18 days.

I never have been on any mood-stabilizers except Lithium with Nardil. The Lithium, after reaching therapeutic levels, made my derealization/fear much worse.'

It's been ten weeks back on Nardil...Last time it kicked in 6 weeks and STAYED that way for 5 months. This time, after restarting, it kicked in at week 1 then stopped. Around week 4 kicked in again. Then at week 6 (3 days after starting 2.5 Zyprexa, ) kicked for 18 days.

Tell me what you think champ...

Maxime...So sorry I alarmed you...rest assured the Ace will NEVER kill himself! I must always go on...in spite of any pain...I owe that to life itself.

To answer your question, nothing really bad has happened lately...everything has been normal. I know what you mean when you say ' no matter what AD you are on there will still be lows and highs'
but with Nardil there was a five month high!, until I stupidly stopped to try anafranil.

On July 27 when I talked about my Parnate study I was still down but I was just thinking 'this will pass soon, Zyprexa out of system too'. But yesterday I panicked like a baby who lost it's dummy!- Zyprexa was almost gone and still depressed...and then I remembered how its worked on and off and thought about poop-out.

I probably have personality d/o's but never labeled one. How about: Stupidity Personality Disorder for trying Anafranil!!!!

MelD- Thanks so much for your support...do you think I should raise the dose of Nardil...does my prob sound like poop-out? I love you too Mel.

Djmmm- please man think and try and solve this do you think the Zyprexa caused a loss of receptivity of DA receptors- do you think it worked against my Nardil? What do you think man...Just stick with Nardil? Or Try Parnate? BTW, were you worried switching between the two the SAME day?

All of you guys are my brothers and sisters...I thank you all so much for caring about me...I'm an anxious little critter!

Ace. (Andrew)
