> I've been at it for close to 23 (gasp!) years and I'm 38. The patch was not helpful, and had a horrid rebound of clinical depression while (trying to) quit. But inhalers deliver the same type of burst nicotine as smoking, unlike the steady-stream delivery of the transdermal patch.
You're right, the Inhaler offers a very obvious advantage, and it really does cover all the bases of cigarette withdrawal:
1. Nicotine replacement therapy
2. Nicotine vapor causes mild irritation to the mouth and throat, almost as if you were smoking.
3. The Inhaler is great for smokers who have extreme difficulty quitting because they feel they have to be doing something with their hands.
4. It has a menthol flavor, so menthol smokers will certainly enjoy that aspect. :-)> I'm down to a bit under a pack a day. I have some sample Nicotrol inhalers, have yet to try.
> Tell us more!First of all, since you're down to less than pack a day, may I ask exactly what type of cigarettes you smoke, as well as approximately how many per day? I ask this because then I can calculate your current daily nicotine intake and then advise you as to how many cartridges of Nicotrol you should start with.
After you answer me this, I'll be able to answer all your questions.
God and goddess bless Nicotrol Inhaler!! :-)
