Mirapex is called Mirapexin in the U.K., generic name pramipexole. It's a dopamine agonist normally used to treat Parkinson's disease. It works better for depression and lack of motivation than most other dopamine agonists (i.e. cabergoline, pergolide, amantadine) presumably because it targets D3 receptors more potently than the other agonists, which mostly target D2 and D4 receptors. Read my reponse to ross co's post above to see the effects I got from it.
There is one other dopamine agonist available (at least here in the States... I can't say for sure about the U.K.) that also has a more potent action on the D3 receptor than other receptors. It's called Requip here, and it's generic name is ropinirole.
