I've been taking Provigil since January 2003 at a 400mg a day dosage. In July, my doctor increased the dosage to 800mg. I'm curious to know if anyone has experience with a dosage of this level. My insurance company will not approve over 400mg per day and is asking for documentation that shows the effectiveness at higher doseages. My doctor seems to be quick to prescribe the higher dosages and tells me that my next step is Social Security Disability! It seems to me that after only six months of treatment for my narcolepsy, that that is my only option. Does anyone have any similar experience?
