anyone have success with effexor and wellbutrin?

I'm getting really discouraged after spending nearly 10 weeks working up to 225mg Effexor (plus 100 mg wellbutrin for side effects). Should I hang in there? I just got up to 225 a few days ago, which my doc says is the key dose. I'm less anxious, but still depressed.

I'm allergic to Prozac (though felt great the 3 weeks I was on it) and Paxil put me to sleep.
