I take my short acting adderall about an hour before I actually get up in the morning, which gives me a couple hours before I eat. I wait atleast an hour after eating, sometimes longer if it was a heavy fatty meal.
Besure you are getting enough water, being dehydrated will make you tired and your urine will be more acidic.
For my slow release I am on dexedrine sr, I have noticed that food and caffien effect it also.
