Parnate questions

Posted by linkadge on October 14, 2003, at 8:53:12

I have been taking parnate for 1 week now.

Somtimes you hear things like - "increase dose untill full MAO inhibion is achieved - then lower dose to maintenance dose."

How do they know when "full MAO inhibition" has been achieved?

Secondly what generally is a standard maintainace dose of this drug?

Can the same responce be had from a low maintaince dose (just take longer) as a high
dose? I'm just unsure about how MAO responds
to MAOI inhibitors.
