Hi.
There always seems to be some confusion regarding the acronym "SNRI". There doesn't seem to be a universal convention among authors. Depending on who you read, SNRI can stand for either "serotonin / norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor" or "selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor". To make things even more confusing, the acronym "NARI" is often used to mean "noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor".
Remeron is not a reuptake inhibitor of either norepinephrine nor serotonin. It acts to block neurotransmitter receptors. It acts as an antagonist of:
norepinephrine NE alpha-2 receptors (presynaptic)
serotonin 5-HT2 receptors
serotonin 5-HT3 receptors
histamine H1 receptors
