We decided on Imipramine because I didn't want another SSRI, it has strong sedation (read anti-anxiety) effects, and isn't notorious for weight gain (at least not as bad as Remeron).

I've dropped the Strattera temporarily until I know if I won't have any ill effects from the Imip. And I've dropped the Trazadone also because the Imip will make me sleepy at night. SO my pocketbook has lightened considerably but all these changes make me nervous. Any feedback?

Hi Kimberly.

I am currently taking Effexor 300mg + imipramine 300mg. They seem to get along just fine. I feel that the two together give me more relief from depression that does either one alone. I hope it works out for you.
