Amisulpride for Schizophrenia

Posted by jparsell82 on November 11, 2003, at 14:04:16

http://www.biopsychiatry.com/solian-schizophrenia.htm

In the above link, this study shows that Amisulpride was as equally effective as riperidone in controlling positive & negative symptoms. Amisulpride was more effective than risperidone at controlling the "affective" symptoms of schizophrenia. I now understand what the the positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia are but not the affective symptoms. Could somebody help me out here? thanks

Also-Is Amisulpride available in America?(I thought I remembered reading something about it not being available here)
