Effexor-XR - day 14

Posted by Harlock on November 18, 2003, at 20:10:23

Odd, over this weekend, I felt great (well, at least for me). But back to work for 2 days, and I'm feeling horribly depressed again. I came home from work yesterday at 6 pm. Guess what time I went to bed?

Got up at 8:30 the next morning, and off to work. Then my Dr. appt. - he says to up the effexor dosage. Eeek. I'm not sure the if medicine is making me tired, or I'm just so darn depressed that I'm being drained of all energy. I could drop an iron on my foot right now, and I probably wouldn't even care (or notice). I had my head down for 2 hours in my cube, then told the boss I was heading home sick.

I was too tired to even drive home right away and really didn't even want to. This is the worst I've felt in ages. Someone please tell me this is going to get better. I'm ready to call in sick for tomorrow, and/or take a 2 week leave until I get better.

I'm usually angry all the time (which I actually prefer to being like I am now), but after being on effexor for 2 weeks, now I'm hopelessly apathetic. I don't care about anything. I'm bored 100% of the time, and I don't feel like doing anything. They could fire me tomorrow, and I wouldn't have the energy to even care about it.

Did this happen to anyone else on effexor? I'm more depressed now than when I started on it!
