Hey!
I have ADHD, GAD, and Bipolar, but have been in your position: diagnosed with depression, ADD, and GAD. For that, I tried on all the ADD meds (except Straterra) and Zoloft. To answer your questions as best I can, in a different way than you asked.

I never noticed Zoloft helping the ADD, but I did notice an effect on my depression when I took Dexedrine/Adderall with Zoloft. My mood definitely improved, probably for the reason that I was getting more things accomplished and I was able to stay more organized (and therefore I couldn't beat up on myself for not doing those things). However, I've noticed that I'm more anxious and fearful when I do take ADD drugs (esp. Dex and Adderall). The Zoloft helped alleviate that somewhat.

I hope that makes sense. About weight, I was on Dexedrine, then Adderall, when I took Zoloft. I gained no weight at all, actually lost a bit!

Hope this helps. I think treating all of your symptoms will help you feel your best. There is some research that all of these things are inter-related in the brain... but I can't explain anything to ya about that! ;)
