Hi anyone out there. My brother (32yrs)was diagnosed with schizophrenia five years ago. He does not believe he is ill. He thinks that the medicine my family gives to him is poison and that his hallucinations are due to his extra sensorial ability. Now he is in the hospital again (physical agression to my father cuz of the poison issue, not the first time). My father says now he is beginning to doubt and thinking about suicide (for him a schizo life=painful life with no way out). I am convinced that if he reads about how other people realized their hallucinations were tricks of the mind and schizophrenia does not mean an end of life (I read you all hanging there) but finding a new sense of it, he will find hope and that will be the starting point for his recovery. Maybe one day he will be posting a message, giving and receiving support like you do. Would you tell me your experience?
The best of my feelings are for you all and your families (including Dr. Bob)
