<<Kid, how such a drop in meds?>>

After finding a med cocktail that worked (it took a while) I began to make lifestyle changes. I gave up booze,
caffeine & nicotine. Not all at once but gradually over about a years time. I changed my diet, started getting some exercise, made sure to get enough rest & began taking different supplements. (I'm not trying to sell anything) I was in therapy twice a week for a while. After 13 months of this I decided I felt well enough to try & stop my meds. I stopped in stages. I quit Topamax first. Then I began to taper off the FXR. I took my time with that. Then I stopped the Neurontin & finally the Klonopin (although I still take it on occassion)
I still have some pretty rough days. I have at times considered going back on the meds. I am not the happiest camper, but I am a WHOLE LOT better than I was & I don't have to put up with the #$$@%& side fx most psych-meds cause. If it wasn't for the meds I would never have been able to even consider making some of the changes in my life style. This is NOT a plan for recovery for anyone else. This is just my(waaay too long) story. Aren't you glad you asked? =0/ Take care.
