Unlike you though, I have never taken meds before. I am 47 and thought I was peri-menopausal, I felt EXACTLY like you descibe (except for the nausea part). The least little thing would make me furious, had customer complaints and write ups at work, treated some employees poorly, constant road rage, fought w/hubby almost daily over insignificant things, insomnia, the night sweats and chills.
I started on Lexapro in Feb., pxd by GYN doc, and have had very good results. No more insomnia, road rage, fights, I'm a much more pleasant individual all around. Last period I felt a little *grumpy* but nothing like it used to be.
