My wife who has suffered from life long depression seems to do best on Parnate without question. In the past the insomnia was a real problem as she also took tamazepam or ambien, but got hooked on them so to speak.
Recently her doc had her try Seroquel to aid in some other problems. She started with 25 mg Seroquel in am an pm. But she is very very tired feeling. So doc suggested switching to 50 mg Seroquel before bed. She takes 10 mg parnate in am and at noon. The Seroquel dosage seems very low as compared to what suggested is, but what do you think of this.
As a side note she went to pdoc for low energy, and her blood tests came back with iron deficiency.
She was off Parnate since May, trying other meds that did not work. I Feel that her tiredness was a combo of being really really depressed, and the iron deficiency.
She feels that even the low dose of Seroquel is the major reason she has no energy.
