Hi,

I'm on name brand Prozac, 20mg capsule, have been for the past 2 1/2 weeks, and it too makes me tired during the day-it also makes me constipated. Dry eyes and constipation are probably anticholinergic effects from the fluoxetine (Prozac). About the only thing you can do is wait it out-sometimes these side effects lessen after you've been on the drug for a couple of months; take a vitamin B-complex as well as lecithin-may boost choline; avoid simple carbohydrates like sugars and simple starches, refined and processed foods which can cause hypoglycemic-type tiredness-instead, eat more quality protein and complex carbohydrates; sometimes a higher dose can reduce tiredness.

In the past I've taken Zoloft, Celexa, Wellbutrin, Prozac, and Lexapro, and am now back on Prozac. The first time I took Prozac 20mg was stimulating-not this time round-I often need a daytime nap. I've tried taking it in the evenings instead of mornings and it only disrupted my sleep-made me feel like my heart was going to explode-like after taking pseudophrine decongestant. I was hoping it would make me sleep good since it makes me so tired during the day-didn't work. The best to you!
