In reply to Wellbutrin and jaw pain?, posted by Mrs. R on December 15, 2003, at 7:32:03

Hi,

> I searched the archives and found a couple of references to users developing jaw pain on Wellbutrin. I recently increased from 150mg to 300mg a day and am now experiencing headaches in the morning and terrible pain in my right jaw. In fact, my jaw hurts to the touch and it's painful to chew.
<<Hmmmmm, that's interesting. I'm on WB, and have been getting headaches more frequently recently, but I thought it was (and it might be) just stress. Also, I've recently had some jaw problems, not as severe as yours. Sometimes it's hard for me to chew without pain. My dentist told me years ago I have TMJ, so I figured that's what it was and it's finally getting worse.

Your jaw pain sounds severe enough to be TMJ. Can you get it checked out by a dentist? Teeth grinding at night, maybe, or something related to tension/stress....

I'm sorry I don't have info. to help you....but *you* gave *me* some food for thought...see if this stuff's linked to WB.

Good luck,

Susan
