Re: Seroquel CAUSING anxiety?

I would get anxious on Seroquel sometimes because the drug kept me from feeling normal emotions. If I were upset, Seroquel didn't do much to calm me down, it just made me feel numb.

I am surprised that any antipsychotic could *cause* severe anxiety. All I can suggest is that the drug might not be a good match for your son. If it's safe for your son, you could try discontinuing the Seroquel until you can talk to your son's psychiatrist. You might want to try Abilify, which works differently from Seroquel and seems to have milder side-effects.

Good Luck
