What are you supposed to do when you can't get in to see a psychiatrist? Everyone I have been calling isn't accepting new patients or the waiting list is really long!! I went to the county mental health facility today and they can maybe get me into counseling some time after the 13th of January but it would be two months to see a psychiatrist! This is ridiculous and I am at the end of my rope! I am not feeling well. I have panic disorder and BP II and the only med I am taking right now is Klonopin (and Levoxyl). I quit the rest of the meds last year because I felt they were making me worse. Dumb idea. Now it would seem I am completely screwed.
Does anyone have any ideas on what people are supposed to do in this situation? I have fallen far in the past couple of months and how am I supposed to get help when no one will see me? How am I supposed to get through these next few months or even the next week? They are forcing me into the hospital I guess where I will get subpar treatment at best. They just get you in and get you out and treat you like an animal in the meantime.
God, what am I supposed to do?
Dr. Bob, do you know of anyone in the Rockford area who could get me in?
Thanks-
