I found the ups and downs of the short half-life frustrating. Moclobemide is one of my favorite drugs, but Lexapro has been nicer to me. It's also been more effective. Moclobemide took at least 8 weeks at 450mg/day to notice a real improvement. I did get an initial high, but that faded. Some people need 900mg or more. If moclobemide stayed in my system the entire day I would have a more favorable view of it. Additionally, I found it very helpful for ADD-like symptoms. Moclobemide is definitely worth trying!
