It is certainly interesting that a few people have gone thru the same thing...like I said earlier it is the same pattern I had when starting celexa..my theory is that after about 3 or 4 weeks the subsiding of the S/E's in itself feels so good that it results in some improvement before the meds really take effect around week 7 or 8...after all sleeping 8 or 9 hours a night like i am now makes all the difference in the world compared to the 3 or 4 hours i was getting around week 2 and 3...and around the 5 to 6 week period is kind of the "in between" stage..
> This is interesting. I am on Week 5 of Lexapro and starting last week I got a little blue (but not depressed). I also was visiting my parents for Xmas last week -- always hard for me -- so I am sure I was affected by the situation. I have been on 5 mg and my doctor wanted me to go up to 10 mg. I have been ambivalent about meds but decided if I am doing this I might as well do it fully. So this is Day 2 of 10 mg.

I am totally thrown and have no idea what is going on in that department anymore and don't know whether I should attribute this to Lexapro. But my blue feelings could be a sign of PMS -- not sure. I don't know my body anymore which I guess is normal and will change as I adjust to the medication.
