Hi visionmachine,
Thats about where i am with Wellbutrin, 5 weeks. I am doing better on it then I was prior to taking, and not having the side effects you describe. I am using the XL version tho, not the SR. You might want to try that instead. Same active ingredient (bupropion), but the peaks and declines in blood plasma levels throughtout the day, are smoothed out more so then the SR version. If you are a coffee drinker, try cutting down or switching to decaff after your morning coffee, as that can increase sensitivety to Wellbutrin (same with soft drinks, etc, that have caffiene). There are studies that show Wellbutrin actually can increase sex drive, but a minority of people report that it has a negative effect. Personally, I think if Wellbutrin is having negative sexual side effects, it could be due to it increasing anxiety in general in some users, and anxiety obviously can be inhibiting (thats why some people say a couple drinks are an aphrodisiac, it lowers inhibitions actually).
Also, i should add that i am using a low dose of Zyprexa (2.5 mg) at bedtime, which can help counteract some of the anxiety-like side effects of Wellbutrin.Hope that helps!
