> So I am just going to do research on the web and tell my doctor what I found. Unfortunatly he is not very patient friendly,is hard to talk to and doesn't believe a lot of what his patients tell him, (he never suggested liver tests so he might not even know that suboxone can cause liver damage), so I need to get a little proof (if there is any) to show him that I could be damaging my liver and that we need to discuss other options.
You might consider asking your doctor to look up suboxone in the PDR or some other reference. I had to do this with my own doc when I asked for an MAOI and he tried to give me a trycyclic. Once he looked up MAOI's (in front of me, I might add), he realized I was right and he had been wrong. Anyway, the proof you are looking for should be listed with the drug in the PDR as a caution or contraindication.
