Hi Twuffy,

I freaked out a little bit my first few days on Lex. The side effects can be bad, thats for sure. When I first started taking it I gave the Lex a time limit and told myself that if I couldn't cope with the side effects after a week then I would stop taking it. I'm on day 19 now. The side effects are still there, but they have improved a lot.

One thing you might begin to notice is that the side effects have a pattern. (e.g. An hour after taking it you feel dizzy and that goes away after another hour.) Monitoring the side effects like this helped me cope with them because I knew what to expect and when it was going to happen.

The side effects have diminished quite a bit from when I started taking the Lexapro. I still have some, but they're tolerable. But don't continue to take a drug if the side effects are too much. There are hundreds of medications out there and you'll find the right one. Best of luck on the Lex!
