I have been depressed for 10years now, not that i thought this as the time but can admit it now. Three years ago was the 1st time i took any medication- Effexor. I was on and off this for 2 years and was taking 150mg daily. The medication did work and the only side effects that i could not tolerate was the lack of libido and trouble achieving orgasim and when the dosage was to high acted in a way i did not like. I stopped taking the medication because i thought i was cured and didn't need it anymore. I have become depressed again lately and realise my problem is a life long one that will require medication. I was recently prescribed Edronax and have been taking it 8mg daily for 1 month. I have experienced all the side effects but not positives to my mood. I realise it will need more time to be effective. I feel like i will be experimenting for a while to try to find the correct medication and dosages. I know i have to do this if i want my life to be smoother without the lows that seem to come every year. Has anyone been in this situation who could offer some advice and experiences about finding the right medication for life-long use.
Regards,
Mathew
