In reply to depressed girlfriend?, posted by Chep on January 8, 2004, at 16:00:17
Hi!
I am actually a depressed girlfriend so I hope I can be of some help. My boyfriend was really trying to understand what I was going though. When you are depressed, it makes you focus on everything bad and nothing good. So she may be hypersensitive to things you say... like when I was really down, my boyfriend asked me to reshut my car door and that made me feel so terrible. Stupid stuff like that. Just tell her how much you love her, how wonderful youthink she is ect. Compliments and affection seemed to have helped me. Also 10mg of Lexapro is doing a nice job.
Good luck and God bless
