Hi R.

I think we all want a wonder drug. I know I do.

While I haven't experienced a slump, I wanted to write and offer you some encouragement. How long have you been starting to feel sad and more discouraged? I noticed a similar feeling the 2nd and 3rd days that I took the drug. My depression seemed like it was coming back with a vengence, but about the 4th day it eased up a bit and my mood was more stable by day 5. My experience might be a bit different from yours because I wasn't taking anything before I started Lex.

Also, week 2 seems to be very difficult for a lot of people. I know it was my worst week. (Right now I'm on day 21 of 10 mg of Lex.) For me it was awful because the side effects were so bad. But you said you haven't had much trouble with those. Maybe you've had a very quick response to the drug and so you have hit the slump earlier than most. That could be a possibility if you're sensitive to meds.

Try to make it through week 2, I'm willing to bet you'll see some improvement by week 3. I know it's difficult, but it will be worth it. Hang in there!

K.
