Personally, I think that is utter nonsense.

Firstly I don't think there is any common test that can detect the presence of lithium in the brain.

The brain cannot aquire, nor utalize enough dietary lithium to treat bipolar disorder. Lithium deficiancy does not cause bipolar disorder in normal people.

The only thing I can think of, is that she is seeing some natural health practioner who is using alternative methods to treat the disorder.
Perhaps he based his "lithium sufficiant" prognosis on some tests he did.
