Maxime, by switching, I mean from either depressed mood or euthymia to hypomania/mania. I recall seeing a couple of papers in PubMed from the 1970s/early 80s that found that stimulants seemed to control mania. But I don't know that there's any evidence that they are less likely to cause switching in bipolar patients than antidepressants.
