Actually, from what ive read ritalin and cocaine are schedule II substances.
Schedule II substances are defined by having a high abuse potential and some medical value. When taken as directed, the dependence which some Ritalin users experience is nothing like cocaine addiction and the stimulation they experience is not comparable to that of cocaine in intensity, although both drugs work on the dopamine circuits.
