I am saddened every time I read a story like this. Take a look at this thread and see if you notice any similarities. Myself and Siraris told our stories. I am out of school, but teetering on the edge of disability.

I have two questions; could you describe the OCD symptoms that you experienced before the onset of brain fog; and have you noticed any patterns in your symptoms and specifically how they relate to exertion, both mental and physical, i.e. do you feel better or worse after sustained physical or mental effort?

Try to get your doctor to prescribe Klonopin. About .5 mg at night and .125 mg in the morning helps clear the fog a good deal for me (somewhat counter-intuitively).

FWIW, I also have experienced shooting pains in the head, and feeling of having a head stuffed with cotton, or perhaps a chunk of the front middle area of the brain burned into charcoal.
