concerta help

Posted by Randibeth on January 21, 2004, at 15:00:40

after trying lexapro (worked great for couple months, but then fell in a deeper depression), wellbutrin (every known side effect to this drug i got - even hives that sent me to the hospital) and exephor (just didn't work) my doctor decided i should try Concerta since anti-dep meds weren't working. (this is after test results showed i had a degree of ADD/ADHD)
he thought that it would take care of the surface problems (like my wandering mind) that would eventuallly let me feel better and more at ease.
i'm only on my 2nd week, and second day of the double dose (only 24mg together). but i feel WORSE - i basically feel like i'm PMSing - very irratible. and very withdrawn. i don't want to talk to anyone.
what's the deal with this? anyone take Concerta for depression - has it worked? what should i be aware of?
