do 5ht2a antagonists downregulate 2a ??

Posted by linkadge on February 1, 2004, at 14:39:02

There are a few antidepressants - like Remeron. Which are 5ht2a antagonists. I was under the impression that this would upregulate the 2a receptor. I know that 2a downregulation is almost essential for antidepressant reponce. How does this work ??
