I take both 10mg Ambien and 2 mg of Ativan.
I told my pdoc that if I take only Ativan I don't fall asleep for hours, and if I take only Ambien, I wake up after 4 hours.
I need Ambien for sleep onset and Ativan for sleep maintanence. So for now I take both.
A new sleep med, Estorra and also Ambien XR are supposed to come out this spring. I'm hoping one of those may enable me to go back to taking just one sleep med.
