I slept for 16 hours and was ravenously hungry. Finally, I found a new doctor (a p-doc this time) and now I'm on effexor xr, buspar and small dose of xanax. This feels like a winner and I'm starting to feel better rather than worse.

I have no horror stories to tell about it other than the fact it didn't work for me on its own. Works good now though with the lithium added to it. I can now keep the dosage constant and get the effect. Actual I do have a problem now that I didn't have before the lithium was started and I'm not sure if its the lithium causing it or the fact that the paxil is working now that causes it. But at night when I am falling asleep I have slight Seizures. They feel very different from ssri induced twitching, they are real Seizures. The lithium works so well for me that I have decided not to let this problem keep me from taking it.
