In reply to does anyone have BPI and OCD?, posted by jdgjdg on February 18, 2004, at 20:25:58
This is just a sterotype. Lithium is highly effective in certain (classic) forms of Bipolar I, has been in use for a long time and many people find it well tolerated.

My psychiatrist wants to keep me on the lexapro for the ocd, and mentioned lithium for the bipolar. Lithium seems very extreme and institutional to me. Is this just a stereotype or am I correct. Does it have bad side effects? Also, don't people feel "zombie" like on Lithium?
