> Has anyone tried both of these? I've tried Ambien, but I think I'm switching to Sonata. Ambien has worked great for me as far as inducing sleep quickly, but it makes me forget things I do and has sometimes caused hallucinations. I've known many more people on Ambien than Sonata. Does Sonata work just as well? Is 10mg of Ambien = 10mg of Sonata? Thanks, CB

I've never tried Sonata, but have you tried lowering your dose of Ambien, and combining a lower dose (5mg-7.5mg) with a self-hypnosis tape and breathing exercises for 20 minutes? I'm going to try this myself. Overnighted Ambien, 10mg #30, from an online pharmacy that will deliver tomorrow AM. May buy Sonata in the future. Curious if Sonata will help me take a 2-4 hr nap once a week on top of regular sleep nightly at 8 hours, to help reduce my sleep debt....
